93 5.0 Mustang Problem

What would be some reasons why my mustang started to pop underneath the hood with a descending idle (well it rough) and dies out and loss of power. Also when I press the gas pedle it has hesitation. I just replaced the fuel filter because I thought it could be clogged. Anything else?

what kind of pop? Sounds like it may be a valve timing issue

I had an 87 gt that did that only when it was cold..! Check your timing!

Well it was running fine when I drove it to my girlfriends house and then 2 or 3 hours later I started it up and it was popping with low power and it was hesitating the whole way back to my house. It's like a popping sound when it's being accelerated. With late throttle response. I'm going to try a tune up (spark plug wires an cap and rotor and timing.) think it can be te fuel pump? My car was vandalized 2 (1/2) weeks ago and I figure maybe they put something in my gas tank so I siphoned everything out. But it was still running Even after till now. What can cause the timing to get off?

If you havent messed with your timing and it was fine from one hour to the next then i really dought its that. Do you have stock headers? Some aftermarket headers burn plug wires. Maybe a burnt sparkplug boot. That can be it.

Well after my car was vandalized. (they might have put something in my gas tank. But not sugar.) I just wanted to siphon all the gas out to be sure. I did notice after I took the gas out and put new gas in it would pop and struggle but it wasn't warmed up. And after it warmed up it went away and my mustang drove fine till the other day now it just won't stop. I just replaced the spark plugs and wires and fuel filter it's still doing it. :( my car is fuel injected

I do have stock headers with a clamped off road h pipe. But that has never been a problem. I'm going to go thru my mustang again today to see if I see anything else.

Can that popping noise and lack of power can be caused by a weak fuel pump? Or a going out fuel pump? Maybe if they did put something in my tank it could have sabotaged my fuel pump.
