i don't know if anyone has experienced this before but my 1989 mustang lx 5.0 had been idling anywhere between 1500 to 2500 at times, even on cold starts. I changed out the IAC, TPS, ECT. I also changed out the started cuz it started dragging when starting. After all replacements it would do the same thing so i decided to finally check the timing and the time was at 25*, so once i dropped it to 14* it finally settled the idle. because of this i went thru 2 sets of rocker pedestal sets because they kept breaking. Just an FYI!
