Steering wheel clicking

Ok fellas my wheel clicks alot when i turn it to the left and turn it back straight. It does it while driving or while in park.The sound is coming from behind the steering wheel. Can anyone give me some advice? It sounds like hundreds of tiny clicks. Oh and by the way it is on my 87 mustang.

I advise you to take the covers off the column and find the problem.
