Client gave up the Mustang
My brother-in-law has clients that get in trouble with the courts and can't pay for legal services. His office started taking tractors, cars, boats and bringing them to me to sell. I'm into anything american. (Wife does drive an accord) They dropped off an 88 Mustang GLX tonite. I haven't looked at it, but they ask me to see what its worth. It supposedly has a build sheet on the motor. The attorney that drove it over here, had a big smile on his face when he dropped by the office to give me the keys. He said it was a little rough through three gears, but enjoyed laying rubber in 4th. He complained of no p/s. Its not tagged or inspected. They say its clean, nice paint, nice rims. I have a feeling that with the emmision laws in my County, Montgomery, I am going to have trouble selling this beast. They took it in for 3k dollars worth of legal work. Yeah! whats that. 3 hours. My question is where to go to find out something on the VIN? Looking to see some history on the car.Just wondering if any of the GLX's had any value.</P>

Not personally familiar with the GLX.
www.carfax.com will give you a VIN history. It's not absolute though.
www.edmunds.com - do the TMV thing for a fair price
