Well after alot of headaces and a bruised ego i finally found the issue. I tore into the engine to find i had thrown 3 rocker arms on the driver side, needless to say those were the cold cylinders. It also blew out 4 of my lifters.

engine has a trick flow top end kit with 1.6 rockers and a new cam. the cam is from the old 302 and has the old firing order. the first time my valvetrain was adjusted it was not in the 1,5,4....... order. needless to say this created initial slack and caused issues. i belive whoever reinstalled them had the inner ball of the rocker arm on the wrong way. (one side is flat) this is because the set screw was very deep but only on the ones that were ejected. sorry for spelling grammer and so on, retype was fast.

will be redoing my valve train myself this time so any good advice or input in my other thread would be good
