Default car runs bad after conversion

i recently converted my 88 5 speed 5.0 to mass air i have a computer out of an 89 5 speed, brand new pro m 75mm meter, brand new harness and a bbk fenderwell CAI. i also have a b cam
my prob is that when i first start my car it will die unless i keep hitting the throttle it takes at least 5 min of this before it will idle and somtimes it will idle for 30 sec and die. after i drive it say 10 min or so it will stay at idle. if i put it in gear and drive the car will buck and pop a bit. the car started and idled fine befor the conversion
any sugestions on this??
thanks

Did you change out the MAP sensor on the fire wall? I know the speed density cars have a hose running from the upper intake to the MAP so it can read engine vacuume. The mass-air cars don't have the hose and it looks like the sensor is blocked off where the hose would go. On a mass-air car I believe the MAP reads the barometric pressure in the air. I can't say for sure, because I have worked more with S/D than M/A.

did you get an adapter thing that goes between your stock wiring and the computer with the mass air wires on it?
or did you just switch the whole wiring?
if you kept the stock 88 wiring you need to change the locations of some of the wires in the harness that plugs into the comp.

check for vaccume leaks, and the map sensor read manifold absolute pressure on a SD car, im not shure what it dose on a mass air car.
