Questions about MSD Blaster TFI on carb setup with E-Curve Dizzy
Heya everyone;
I have a quick question.
If I use a MSD Blaster TFI (pn 8227) on a carb setup can I just run it as a coil without using the 2 prong plug?
Here is the story behind it.
My wife bought a 68' Mustang that has a 5.0 from a 1992 that was built up, only major parts left stock in the whole thing is the crank, heads and block, its a 306 now. It has 4340 steel rods, Ross forged pistons, X303 cam, the heads have been ported and got new valves, springs, retainers, guides, SVO 1.73 roller rockers and up top it has a performer rpm.
Its a damn nice build with only about 2000 miles on it.
It has a weak Ebay HEI that shocked me and felt like a fuzzy blanket, I am having some missfire issues and want to upgrade to the MSD E-Curve dizzy.
I already have a new Blaster TFI 8227 and would like to use it. I read in the MSD tech forums that you can use the 8227 but it did not say how to use it.
So, Can it simply be used as a coil without the harness or do I need to make a 2 pin harness for it?
Thanks everyone.

if it's in a carbed set up you'll need power to positive side and neg side iirc goes to ignition box, this is just off the top of my head, I'd go to msd website, instructions can be downloaded there
