Default 1979 3.3L to 5.0L

I am trying to put a 5.0L in my 1979 mustang which has the 3.3L 6 Cyl. Will I have to replace the K member to a 4 Cyl or 8 Cyl k member, and if so, which years will bolt right up?

I think I read someplace that you have to change out the 'K' member to swap a V-8 in....
