Distributor - Cap and rotor.

Distributor - Cap and rotor.
I was curious on what exact distributor is in the car before I bought a replacement cap and rotor because the engine is decently far from stock.
Aside from me putting new parts and performance mods on the car that I know of.
I do not know though, what parts were thrown on the car from the previous owner. like what distributor is on the car, and what plug wires work (I bought 94-95 mustang gt plug wires a month ago and they weren’t the right lengths and couldn’t get them to work)
the only thing I know the previous owner did, was a edelbrock 1406 carb swap. Which has resulted in a lot of redneck engineering and Information on what parts he used wasn’t passed on to me
my assumption of the cap and rotor being bad is I had just left the house and drove about 2 miles or so. And came to a dead stop, then accelerated and got up to about 30. And lost all ignition at once.
fuel pump was still running and there was no weird noises or anything.
Just stopped making power and started slowing down and rpms decreasing.
usually if I have problems with ignition, it’s the little wire in the “Batt” part on top of the distributor that came loose and you just wiggle it back in and it starts up.
but I tried doing that for an hour on the side of the road last night and nothing seemed to help.
starter and all that works fine, it turns over with no drag or seems abnormal.
just doesn’t spark to life.
And yes, I know it looks trashy and a ****box
when I bought it from the previous owner, i decided to keep it the way it is because it’d take way too much time and energy to make it look clean with how much redneckery has been done.
