88 GT Front Bumper Cover and ditches
Well guys my luck finally ran out on my Mustang, it found a ditch last week about a 15 ft steep dtich and then rapidlly found a barb wire fence. it tore the front bumper and strached the roof very badly, the car just got out from underneath me after hitting a bump and i had a little to much thottle down and it sucked really bad. i also got my estimate today and it was $2372, well it says a front bumper cover is gonna cost me $530 which is very high i found a front bumper on laurel moutain mustangs for $130, will this directly bolt up i know ive heard aftermarket is bad but if it saves me $400 it will really help, also they said a new foglight is gonna be $130 and i know i can find another alot cheaper on the ineternet or ebay, maybe even a parts car, i have also provided pics from my car, also before i get flamed for my grammer i probably forgot a word or two i have preread but sometimes it still dont help, so sry bout that

RE: 88 GT Front Bumper Cover and ditches
well i just recently replace the front bumper cover of my '92 gt, because of a run in with a deer. front cover cost about $150 after shipping from 5.0 resto, new ultra clear lights all the way around were around $250, plus whatever it was for the fog lights somewhere around $100, plus alittle bit of modification and paint to the cover and half a day to install and it fits pretty good. so for just a wee-bit over $500 i fixed it myself, compared to the $2000 the paint and body shop wanted. it might have been done faster but i saved an a$$ load of money. so i would say do it yourself, the hardest part is getting off the rivets that attach the cover to the bumper. and i mail-ordered all my parts from 5.0resto.
so hope this helps your decision.

its not the paint its the body work to start, its easy to find a good painter, its hard to find a good body man, and aftermarket bumpers might be cheeper but the time it takes to fit the aftermarket you should have gotten a ford, figure $52.00 an houre for labor. i have been looking for a good body man for a year now and no luck finding a really good one. sry about your car, it looks like it was a really nice car.

I would trust 50resto for the front bumper they sell pretty good product. I would not trust any bumper that you get on ebay same with lights unless they are used and came off a GT.
