5.0L (1979-1995) Mustang Technical discussions on 5.0 Liter Mustangs within. This does not include the 5.0 from the 2011 Mustang GT. That information is in the 2005-1011 section.

Welp, back to the drawing board.

Just a thought ... Are you still running the stock ignition module?? Last time i had a miss at cruise speed or bucking with a ford it turned out to be the ignition module was goin south.

started out suttle at first then got worse with time.

Ignition module? The one on the dizzy? No, it's a year old MSD billet distributor...I'd hope the module wouldn't go that fast.

I know it kind of sounds iffy with a year old module and we hate to think something that new could go bad, but with the location of it on the dizzy they tend to get hot. The tfi (ignition module ) is notoriously known to have issues with heat. It might be worth getting it tested. Most pple I know have relocated it to avoid the heat from the engine. Alot of the time you can get a heatsink from the sn95 models and relocate it to the inside fender someplace.

Hm. Since I can get a new MSD piece for 10 bucks with my employee discount, might as well. According to my Chilton though, it seems every problem I'm seeing correlates to the EGR.

No codes come up at all. And the fuel pressure test will have to wait. The transmission just now grenaded on me at the yoke.-_-
