Default need help with dash cluster..PLEASE!!

my 91 dash cluster has been messing up lately and dont know if its a short or if the cluster is just going bad. when i turn the key to the on position without starting the motor my rpm gauge reads 1500rpm. if i hold the key as if i were to start it but i dont push the clutch in my rpm goes to 4000 sometimes 5000 without the car running and when i do start the car it reads 4000 but it idles normal. NOT HIGH. also my gas gauge is stuck at a half tank and never moves even if i fill it all the way up. and my oil presure never moves when i rev up the motor. can someone please help me

id try changing that motherboard thing (idk the actual name sorry lol) on the back of the gauge cluster.. they cant be too expensive.. or like mattdel said, check the grounds, on the lx idk about gt and cobras and such but theres 2 or 3 grounds visible, on that metal pillar support for the dash, if you look up from the pedals towards the center of the car they were green on mine but cobras and those could be different its worth a shot though if you get the chance...
