New Clutch Kit- Does this Look Right?
I really wanted to upgrade to a spec clutch but i ended up having to go the budget route and getting a Valeo (king cobra) clutch kit. I've never seen a brand new clutch until now so does this look right or did they send me a bad product? Are those imperfections or normal for a new clutch disk? I really don't want to send it back. I just want my stang back on the road.
Also, the TO bearing that came with it isn't spinning freely like the one that was on the car does. It spins but it doesn't keep spinning. Is that normal?
The marks up close look like tiny hair-like fibers.

looks normal to me. The old throw out bearing spins free like that because its old and doesnt have much if any greese left in it and it is also worn out The new one will spin but will not spin free because it is full of greese . Those hair/fibers are normal in a new clutch its the material that its made from . Once it is used a while it will wear smooth.

Nice, i got the new flywheel and clutch kit on today. Hopefully i'll be back on the road by the end of this week.
The clutch i pulled out of it was a king cobra clutch. It wasn't too bad. Just really tough.
You're going to hate life if that really is a King Cobra clutch.

I was talked into getting a spec 3+ by my coworkers and its badass. I think my car had a king cobra in it when I first got it. Hard as hell to push it. The stage 3 felt like the stage 1 I put in before it but I smoked the stage 1. Id highly recommend the 3+ to anyone looking to upgrade.
