Default head gaskets?

Just found out 2daythat that i need a head gasket... was cruising in stang after work n met a guy with same year stang as me but his was red with a 347 in it. We both pulled ovr n checked out each others car n stuff. His was much nicer then mine lol. Well he came to the conclusion that i need a head gasket. My car smokes from undernieth it a bit. I thought it was from the trans seal. Tirns out from what he says wich kinda makes sence "better my timing is off so that created a head gasket to leak thats y it smokes ideling n my temps r on the med-high side under normal driving even though i got a badass alum rad. (Same as him he has elec fans though) ...." sooo... what all is involved with replacing uead gaskets? From what i see it looks like im poping off carb n intake so ill need new gaskets for them, poping off the headers so i could break a few bolts possibally n then replace those gaskets as well, then drain oil n take valve covers off, id replace or repaint them bc they r dirty as hell. So id need to do oil change too then take heads off. Gaskets for that. Wile im there new heads b nice or better ones. Mabye painted. Mabye new long tube headersto replace cheap shortys. Wile thats there id swap out magnaflow exhaust for super 44's ....man this seams like a major thing all weekend to me. N id prolli get raped if a shop did it as i have no time right now as im doing manditory weekends at work...looks like im either driving it as is untill it grenaids or selling bc i dont want to get so involved n dump alot of money....kool beans

Why not do a compression test or combustion leak test before you jump on someones side of the road whim!

Then you can just get the trickflow premium felpro gasket set if you dont plan on being rough with it.

you can replace both headgaskets on a 5.0 in an afternoon if you truly need them
