Exhaust condensation

Exhaust condensation
I recently removed the smog pump and changed the exhaust on my 88 gt. I pluged the holes in that back of the heads, welded the tubes in the H-pipe and capped the vacuum line for the smog pump. For the exhaust, I never put the o2 sensors back in the h-pipe. I used bung plugs (oil drain plugs) to fill the holes. The problem Im having is that it seems like alot of condensation (water) is coming out of the tail pipe like crazy. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? Should I install new 02 sensors? I dont have a check engine light on and have driven it to local car shows without any problems, I just dont want a new exhaust to rot out on me. Any help would be great. thanks

A natural byproduct of combustion is water. So this is a good sign! However if you drive for short distances it can cause rusting out of the exhaust. Otherwise longer, and/or more spirited driving, will increase temperatures where there is not as much of an issue. However holes in the bottom of mufflers, etc are there for just this reason.

IDK what mufflers you are running but I have never had holes in mine. That would create an exhaust leak. As far as water goes, even with water injection systems there shouldn't be a noticeable amount dripping from the exhaust.

Factory mufflers have weep holes in them to prevent pooling of water. 90% of car manufacturers use them.

Water is indeed a byproduct of clean combustion, so that is indeed a good sign.
I begin to think, though. The car is running without O2 sensors, which automatically puts the computer into a default richening strategy. If you have clean combustion, in basically a failure-mode ECM strategy, you likely have a giant vacuum leak somewhere.
