Head and cam questions?
Ok, I have an 84 GT 5.0 and I want to install heads a cam, and possibly an intake, thing is, I want it all to be matched together kinda like they systemax kit by holly but only for a carbed engine. I would like to get stuff that will just drop in without modifications to the headers and so forth, anyone know where I should look for a kit like this?

well that's easy...the hard part is what is your driving stye and what you want from the car
you want a daul pattern cam and a daul plane intake for street use..what are all your spec and I'll be gald to point you to a few choices that you can't go wrong with

The engine is mostly stock, holly 650, bbk headers, flowmaster cat back, other than that its stock. I basically want a fast street car, some track trips are planned but just to get times, not an every weekend thing. I'm not planning on Nos or anything like that, I just want heads, cam, intake and an x or h pipe and I want to upgrade to the 8.8 inch rear with 3:73 gears and by the time all that gets done it will be time for a better clutch so I'm thinking either a cobra clutch or centerforce.

i would look into Edlebrock. There Performer RPM heads and Intake are great for street/strip app. Edlebrock also has power packages where you can get there Cam,Heads,Intake,And Carb and it will give you good power

Yeah, thats more like what I am looking for, but everything I find is fuel injection, and I have a carb and would like to stick with it.

hey, ive got an 85 carbed. ill let ya know when i get some links to some nice parts. ive been looking into upgrading myself, but i just decided to beef up a big block that i have. in a bit.
