Question crank seems froze in certain spot while rotating crank manually...help!!!

Ok a while back I started car up and noticed a head leak so I parked it and addressed the head which was basically changing both head gaskets out, when I placed heads back on and pieced everything back together and tried to start it it was like the car was turning but stopping so I tried turning crank by hand and noticed it will only go so far before it stops in the same place every time,I marked crank pully rolled crank back and tried to start it again to just find out the car stopped turning in exact same mark I marked previously I pulled intake and all lifters are free and pushed rods are fine has anyone had this problem or know what could be causing it thanks.

dead rod bearing causing bind? seen it in lawnmowers.. not sure if a V engine can do it.
maybe even a bent rod hitting the cylinder wall, binding.

The weird thing about it is, it was just started and running fine on 2000mile rebuild by a performance shop..one thing I didn't do and I'm not sure if its neccesary is prime the lifters before adjusting rockers.

did you leave something inside a cylinder?? ...lol pull all the plugs and try it, if coolant got in there it may be hydrolocking
