help choosing injectors/maf/cam
ok, so heres the deal
taking apart my engine, a couple of the injectors were totally stuck in the intake. they would not come out. one eventually came out but the little cap came off and the steel underneath was bent, im guessing its unusable now. regardless if its good or not, one other would not come out and i had to push it out, and it the little orange cap was ruined. (im guessing i cant buy these little orange caps, and i cant use them without the caps)
these injectors were 30lb injectors.
i have the stock injectors in my garage. these stock injectors spent their life in the trunk of the car, in a garage, in a shed, on the backseat of the car since being taken out of the engine some 15 or 16 years ago. hmm, maybe i can take the little caps off of one of the stock injectors to fix the 30lb injectors
modification to the car:
gt40 upper/lower intake (cobra whatever), headers, off road x-pipe, gt40 iron heads, 1.6 rr, i think the throttle body is larger than stock (cant recall), im pretty sure the maf is a 'bullet' model, i think its larger than stock as well (does 70mm make sense?). 3.73 gears. and theres an aftermarket ford cam in there. car use to have a supercharger, so it is some type of letter cam that allegedly worked well with chargers back in 96-97. for some reason im thinking its either e,f,or x. supercharger is no longer on the car.
if i need to know the exact throttle body and maf info, i can get it tomorrow i think, but i dont think its necessary probably.
now, whats my best play here as i put it all back together?
replace the 2 broken injectors and keep everything else as is?
put the stock injectors back in and get a new maf?
keep the cam or put something better in there? (honestly, i think taking the cam out is way above my skill level and i do not really want to attempt it, mainly due to the time required to further take things apart, but i will consider it if you guys think its stupid to have the current cam in there).
extra info in case it matters:
the car had a really severe loping idol and would stall if i didnt give it gas to save it.
i assume the maf is calibrated to match the 30lb injectors, but i wouldnt be surprised if it wasnt.
thoughts?

With everything right, a mass air flow car shouldn't be loping that much, at least not with the parts you describe. The stock injectors are rated 19 lbs, and would be a little small for what you have, with 24 lb injectors probably the best size. 30 lb injectors will work fine, but not idle quite as nice. Sounds like two 30 lb injectors might be the cheap fix. The loping idle could be from a tune that was set up for the supercharger, that is no longer there.

Stock injectors would be fine and pending the camshaft it will have a loping idle. you kinda need to determine what you have and go from there!
30lbs injectors coulda been used on that setup with 6-8lbs of boost!
?Have you checked the ecm to see if there is a tuned chip installed?

havent checked the ecm. dont know where it is or what it looks like or what to check, however, if memory serves, there was never a different chip installed
