turbo question
Random question. Buddy of mine has a stock 94 gt 5.0. Put an On3 turbo system on it. Supporting mods include a 70mm throttle body and exhaust. No other work done to the motor. With a tune and the boost at 11psi, the dyno is showing almost 500 whp. Does this seem right to anyone? I feel like its almost 100 hp higher than what it should be. Or am i just a fricking idiot haha.

He would've had to have had additonal work done to the car.
Bigger injectors, upgraded fuel pump and different intake (and MAF calibration) to keep from leaning out the motor. I don't know what the 94 5.0 uses for a MAF but the 99-04 MAF's were rated to about 450-500 hp before you needed to get a higher flow setup.
Not to mention if he's pushing that much WHP his motor is going to be toast in short order. at 500+ WHP that's 600+ at the flywheel. Stock motor will not hold that long.

my only problem with it is that the stock 5.0's only had 220 stock at the crank, so what maybe 190 at the wheels? Motor with 100k miles, pushing almost 600hp at the crank now? I just dont see it feasible, tripling the hp.

Boost is a powerful drug.. You can make any amount of power the bigger you go.. doesn't matter what the engine produced stock.. However, that stock block wont last. I'm surprised it even survived a couple dyno runs... Hell I can slap a huge blower on my stock block and in theory make 800-900 HP (3x stock), but it wont survive..
