Default dual throttle body

I was thinking of making a sheet metal intake and making my 5.0 dual throttle body setup. Probably large mass air meter and then branch it off to two tb's. Anyone have any thoughts?

I just figured they don't teach you all that mechanical engineering just so you can use it and not at play. I'll post some pics if and when i get it all laid out.

Yeah, get either dual or a bigger throttle bodie. Mustangs are fuel injected, when you go to dual you have to make sure your little screen fuel injector pumps are spraying the gas into the throttle bodie and getting it all in. But don't mess with the pumps too much if you mess one up they are a pain cus they can start spraying gas all over you engine.

f**k dual TB's.

Go with individual throttle bodies....1 per cylinder.

Take 8 TB from a small displacement car (or find a buncha small TB's off a big motor, lol), lop off the lower intake manifold, weld extensions to hook 'em up to the TB's (about where the plenium is) then box them in a plenium and follow the stock intake piping.

This would give insane throttle response, and with the plenium built around them, help to fight off the side-effect of a large loss of low end torque that is commonly associated with ITB's.

Not to mention a nice gain in the mid/high end.

interesting. I'm soaking up all the ideas so i can get the best gains at all ranges thru the curve. thanks for all your thoughts.

hey jeepie, are you saying enclose the throttle bodies in an intake or make my own upper with individual runners to each?
