Exclamation Fuel Injector Cleaning? Help!

I got a 1990 Mustang Gt from my sister about a week ago. It was sitting for at least a couple months, probably closer to a year. I have run through a few tanks of gas as well as some STP cleaner I added to first tank of gas. It is running a heck of a lot better than I first got it but RPMs still want to drop then pick back up to 700-800 which is the normal idle RPM. I was thinking some gunk got into the fuel injectors and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for cleaning them. Any help is greatly appreciated! I'm not super savvy with cars yet so any suggestions with detailed explanations would help a lot. Thanks everyone.

It could be other problems besides the fuel injectors.. fluctuating idle most likely points to an IAC problem.

Thanks a lot T Rex, I will give this a shot. I honestly don't know how to go about this since I know very little about cars, but I got my Haynes manual and the internet so its time to do some reading. If you have any links or guides on cleaning the IAC it would really help out a lot.

The injectors are typically cleaned by chemical. Whether it's a tank additive or a professional grade can hooked up through the fuel system. Most likely they are NOT the problem. Try some of the suggestions already posted in your other thread.

It's pretty straightforward.. It's a little tube looking thing on the side of the throttle body.. just unplug it and take it off and give it a good cleaning.. Let us know if that solves the problem.. If not we can go from there.
