Pegging or (pinging) problem

It doesnt "feel" like anything. Its more of a sound and power loss....99% of the time its due to timing, and or MAF problems. Sometimes high temps as well...

If it's still pinging you should retard the timing some more until it stops. Either that or try running 93 in your car to see if that stops it. Assuming the MAF is not causing it.

UPDATE!
It turns out it was bad gas. In other words there are some gas stations with cheap high ethanol gas around here in South Florida. Thats why it came and went(the pinging), it all depended on wich gas station I went to. So one day I said, let me hit a Chevron, Supposedly the best gas with Techron, etc, so without concern fro price per gallon I filled er up. Pinging didnt happen, filled up again with Chevron, pinging gone permanantly. Im sure other gas stations might work but I just dont feel like trying all of them. lol
