Transmission or clutch problem?
89 5.0 LX-
Owned it for about 6 months now. I'm hearing a noise that is new to me.
Press the clutch start the car shift is in neutral. When I let off the clutch I hear a spinning noise and its a little like marbles rolling around. It is barely audible over the engine. When I press the clutch back down the noise continues and when I shift into any gear there is some resistance.
Also I've noticed that while driving I get a very high pitch noise when I accelerate, It only happens in 123 and 5. No loss of power just a noise.
The clutch petal has always been very hard to press. The previous owner says it is because it is a sport clutch. I dig at him for more info but that is all he knows about it. The clutch cable is definately not factory I see pieces of the old one still under the hood and there is an adjustment of some sort on the firewall that is all the way turned in. I looked under the dash and the quardrent is not factory.
Any ideas?
