'90 LX won't start, no crank.
1990 LX (5-Speed)
The car doesn't crank when I turn the key, the only thing that happens is the RPM needle drops a bit, as well as the battery voltage needle, and my shift light will flash once. I get no other lights or electrical. Tried jumping the battery, doesn't work, only started when I run-jumped it. I recently had the ignition lock cylinder, the ignition switch, and the alternator replaced, so it's not any of those. Any help would be appreciated! |
Have you tested your battery, cleaned your cable ends, and inspected for lose wires in the starting circuit?

could be faulty starter solenoid.

by pass the switch on the clutch pedal and see if it starts...might have a bad switch down there

^^^^ go with what he said

is it ticking when you started? and is it efi or carberated? sounds like a starter or starter solenoid which is a super easy fix its on your driver side engine bay near the strut tower on the wall, I'd definately get your battery tested at autozone
