Default stupid lock smith

Ok.My car would crank then continue to try and crank itself while its running "weriod" I know. i don't have a key it wouldn't turn so i called a lock smith. He came out and started to drill out my tumblers and then had to leave without finishing the work. Now i am in a f'd up situation. How and where do i start this complex surgery.

to fix this problem i a changing the ignition switch, the engine managent switch and the starter selonoid and the starter. Hopefully that will fix the problem.

Well without a key to turn the ignition you may as well finish drilling out the tumblers, cause the key has to turn in order to push the pin in that holds the key switch inside of the column. Other wise its a tedious job of cramming a screwdriver in and trying to break it. Trust me the drilling is necessary with out a key. Youll need to remove the plastic housing from around the colomn then once you do that youll see the key switch and once you drill it out enough and can turn it youll see a pin ( and I can remember if it top or bottom ) that holds the switch inside of the colomn.

If you cant turn the cylinder as if the key were in it you dont have it drilled out enough. It is not as simple as running a drill bit in there a few times your gonna have to probly graduate to a bigger and bigger bit till you can turn the lock as if a key were in it.
Then you have to take the plastic cover off of the steering colomn to get to the pin It will be small like about a 1/16 inch diameter pin.

If I could post this pic u could see where I'm at. I was using a bit and it turned the tumbler a little bit but not far enough.

if the whole thing is already drilled, there is really nothing to risk. a new ignition is like 13 wih two new keys, go buy one so you know what is what, drill till you can turn it, then replace it.. Good luck!
