New Flywheel Question for 93 Cobra

Hey All, I am installing new clutch/pressure plate on 93 Cobra with T5 trans, my question is does a new out the box flywheel need to be match balanced to the original flywheel or is it good to go. It is a 157 tooth, 50oz flywheel.
I had an issue with my 68 GT when I installed new flywheel with out match balancing it, got bad vibration. So thought I'd ask before making the same mistake. Thanks!

It should be weighted if it says 50oz on the box, but you can check it.

That silver part with 2 bolts is the weight

Somewhere in the 80s I believe, Ford went from a 28 oz. balance to a 50 oz. balance. If you put a 50 oz. balance on an old '68 yeah it would vibrate. Same if you put a 28 oz. on a newer 5.0.

what I'm asking is does a new 50oz flywheel out of the box, still need to be match balanced to the original flywheel by a machine shop or is it good to go.

The balance is achieved with a weight. Look at your flywheel. If it has a weight on it, it's good to go.

They went 50oz in 82 when they bought out the new Fox bodied GT with s 2bbl HO 302.
