Default Oil leak....

I didn't really notice this till now, i'd say its actually a good thing. I thought my car had blow by, but my car actually leaks oil at the back of the motor and i never really noticed it cause most if it doesn't fall to the ground. My motor has 140k so im guessing its the rear main seal, is there a chance it could be leaking from somewhere else? If it is the rear main seal how much would that cost to fix, and is it worth fixing?

how far in that month? if over a thousand, then its not a huge concern. hell, gm says a quart every thousand or so is totally expected! on new cars! if it doesnt readily drip, then it shouldnt be much of a concern. maybe have them look, but i would say not a prob.

Yea over the summer I drove about 1k a month or more some months. I don't think its burning it though cause the car doesnt smoke whatsoever, i think its just the leak.

As long as your not worried about a little oil on the under carrige I wouldn't worry about it to much.

Could be comming out of the back of the lower intake. In order to replace the rear main you have to drop the transmission, remove the clutch and flywheel, and I think drop the pan. (I know you don't have to drop the pan for the front main seal.)
