if you get an auburn diff, it comes with it. id assume the same with all diffs. but its cheap insurance!

i know that, but the 80-90 fluid i use in my farmall is WAY worse. any other reason, like acidic?

only if you drain the fluid. if you dont take the diff cover off, youre safe, but i assume youre gonna drain it. so, yes, still need the modifier. all limited slip diffs should have it. not sure if all require it, but most do. unless you have a detroit truetrac. thats all helical gears.

get the clutch pack kit , the complete bearing and seal kit , the axle bearing & seal kit, also consider a rear end girdle & up/lower control arms & shocks at this time ,also if you are going to add power later you could add torque box reinforcement boxes at this time too. just some things you may think about at this time. good luck.
