Dying at idle

Dying at idle
My 95 5.0 is doing something very weird.. and somewhat annoying. The first few starts of the day are perfect, smooth, it stays idled a little below 1,000 RPMS. After running it a few miles, and a couple of more starts (3-4) and by starts I mean driving the car, stopping somewhere for a period of time. turning it on and driving again.
Anyhow, after 3-4 starts, it struggles to stay on. I usually have to give it gas to keep it above 1,000 RPM's and stop it from dying. If I just turn it on and let it idle the rpm's go up, then down, then up again, then down and the car turns. Almost like its trying to keep it on, but it just cant.
Someone suggested that my throttle body is probably dirty, and that I should take it off to clean. The throttle body is stock btw. But what else could be causing this ??

If i were u i would go ahead and dismatnel the intake and throttle body, get some carb/throttle body cleaner, and an old rag and clean that throttle body out. if it has never been done its probably fairly gunked up. i did it to my '07. it had 45,xxx miles and was fairly dirty. i saw louder start-ups, cold start up had higher rpm, and smoother acceleration. i would also turn to some seafoam. honestly it works. since ur car is got some age and probably needs a good cleaning, i would buy two cans of seafoam (lets divide the total amount of seafoam into 8 parts), run 4/8 of ur total through a full tank of 93 octane, take 2/8 of ur total and pour it in ur crankcase, then take the last 2/8 and shoot it onto ur vacuum line.(if you cant find ur vacuum line, i just spray it deep into the intake manifold. i did a seafoam treatment on my '05 and im fairly sure it was hard driven before i owned it. i have seen smoother idling, stronger cold idles, smoother acceleration, "smoother" exhaust tone. GOOD LUCK

And I was actually fairly sure it could be the throttle body to be honest. And since I'm starting to do my mods, I just ordered a really nice BBK Intake system, along with pulleys and a whole lot of goodies. I'm thinking about getting an after market 70MM throttle body since its actually a nice performance mod and hopefully a solution to my problem
