Well I just came up on a 86 vert that was in a front end accident with some goods. One of them was the bbk SSI intake. I started the swap today and wanted to share from start to finish my experience. It's the intake with the bbk fuel rails and 70mm bbk t/b. Kinda excited to see the outcome. so far its been very simple., I've just finished installing the lower, connecting all the plugs and plumbing. I will post piks later when I get to a pc.

Me too, but it did get chitty reviews.., but since i have it might aswell throw it in!! Im still at work but get of in 1hr so ill finish it and post my personal results!!

Granted it was a magazine test 5.0 mustang & Super Ford did a comparison test on some h/c I believe stroker motor and the SSI was almost on par with the tubular GT40 intake but had a touch more TQ, but on the same motor made about 20-25 less than the TFS track heat and the Holly systemax.


EDIT: Found the article, and I don't know how much you can believe it on the power numbers but here you go BB

I like the look of the design , I cant say much for the color though. I think I would have it either polished aluminum or get it powder coated a silver.
I guess opinions differ on certain things .........For instance I don't like the looks of cowboy boots where you may be quite fond of them.
