Spoiler leak

Spoiler leak
i just bought a virgin 93 GT. It has one of those whale tale spoilers on it. that thing is history the moment I have the money for a cobra spoiler, but in the meantime i need to repair a leak into the trunk that comes from one of the screws/bolts. One of the holes is big enough to see with the spiler on so of course water is finding its way right through it and into the trunk. there was a little rust on the top of the hatch near the hole but its been repaired (i saw pics from the seller of the prep done to the car prior to paint). the inside of the hatch looks good and the trunk, other than the wet carpet looks good too. The hole that is visable is a drilled hole, not a rusted out spot. i imagine some of the other holes are exposed as well, just not as visable.
Anyways, I did a search on here and noticed this problem mentioned in things too look out for when buying one of these cars, but no mention of anyone that actually has that problem and how to fix it. So, any advice on what to do so I can enjoy a dry trunk and prevent further damage to the hatch?
I'd like to avoid silicone as this is going to be a temporary fix until I replace the spoiler. I'd also like it to look clean and don't want to look at silicone seeping out the sides of the spoiler. Do new spoilers come with some sort of weatherstripping beneath them to cover the holes? What is that and where do I find it? I was thinking a butyl tape (it would have to be approx. 3/4" wide) but that could get messy. I've seen 3m tapes, but they're adhesives and I dont want to anchor this thing down. What's the tape called found inside autos thats black, thin and rubbery, kinda like dynomat? Any other suggestions along those lines?
Thanks in advance!

the problem with silicone, and possibly the rubber is this one hole is slightly visable. the spoiler doesn't cover it completely. silicone would be visable and the wing won't come down on the entire hole to create a watertight seal. that's why I was thinking of some sort of dynomat type material, adhesive on 1 side that can be cut to the shape of the wing and seal all the holes. it would be slightly visable as well, so it'd have to be in black and thin.

Im guessing your car is black?
Use some ultra black rtv gasket sealer. fill the holes and smooth it with your finger . It will peel of later and you wont even notice it on the black paint.
What ever you do I advise you to do it soon the trunks on these cars a notorious for rusting out because of water leakage.
