i have a big block 406 in my car, and its got the edlebrock performer kit in it, intake/cam/carb... only 600cfm, is 600 to little? is 800 to much?.... and how much of a noticeable difference does a rollerized motor make?

406?

Or 460?

If it's a 460 then a 750 would be better from what I've heard.

I know that rollerized cam bearings are kinda of an engine saver..... they help get rid of oil flow leakage around the cam bearings and roller bearings can handle up too 900 lbs open valve spring pressure.... they also help with the oil temperature cause your reducing friction, so it will help it drop by several degrees.....Me and my uncle weretalking about itwhile back cuase he used to work for Adrain Fernandez w/ the Tecate car a few years ago... and they used them on those cars.... I dont think rollerized is for just bracket racing though, I think its for like long haul lballs out races......

mel???????????what was that

yes roller engine is the way...1 reason is it cuts down on wear from friction
2. roller cams have a quicker rails on the cam..meaning more lift quicker and with roller liter there is less pump-up effect. roller rocker for less wear, more strength and less deflection

What is the motor out of? a galaxy/starliner ? With a big block like that you would want like an 800 cfm. And if you mean a 460 big block or a 351 small block stroked 408 almost either way an 800 cfm from edelbrock would top it off nicely.</P>
