New question though. I just got the Motorcraft ECT sensor part #Dy-1145 (9U2Z-12A648-A) and I was wondering, is this the right part? It comes as a kit with the sensor with a completely different connector. It also comes with heat shrink and instructions on how to wire it but I'm wondering if this is truly the ECT connector. Also if it is, does it matter what wires I splice to which?
??? I just bought mine from autozone and unscrewed it really fast and plugged mine back in. did you change the sensor by the thermostat housing under the radiator house? honestly make sure you have a good connection then go in a very very dark location no lights at all and start your car pop your hood and look at your ignition coil and plug wires to see if they're arcing. you'll see blue sparks every now and then, if so replace what's sparking.

Yes, there is the option that is plug and play from O'Reilly but I like to keep all motorcraft parts in the vehicle so I got the motorcraft brand. Just wondering if it's the right one or not.
