Default Terrible gas mileage

As my name states I have a 94 gt 5 speed vert. I usually don't get on it much, and shift at 2,000 while always in a higher gear. It's all stock other than exhaust and unrelative stuff.

Here's some history on vac limes, and o2 sensors. Took it to my mechanic and he said my right bank o2 wasn't even reading so he wired a new one. So apparently that's fixed.

Now I do not have a pcv valve, its blocked off. I replaced the vaccume line going under my upper manifold to my passenger doorjam and replaced that sensor on it.

Is there a fat hose that is really low on the passenger side down by the radiator and I'm not sure where it goes, but its been plugged up with a spark plug so Idk if its important or not.

So how do I fix my crappy gas mileage?!!! I'm getting 150ish miles to my tank, sometimes ill half and half 89 and 87 octane, but normally do 87.

That's about all I get to a tank of gas is 150 or so on my 94, but I have 3.73 gears , timing is set to about 13 or 14 I think and I jump on it just about any chance I get. Realistically in town driving has terrible gas mileage as a lot of 1st 2nd 3rd driving really sucks the gas . On the highway it gets much better mileage .

Check your spark plugs. Make sure they are gapped properly and that they aren’t fouled or damaged. If that checks out, I’d pick up a scan tool from your local auto parts store that can read live data. Check out the fuel trim numbers. My guess is that the motor is running really rich. That would indicate either a dirty or faulty MAF sensor, a vacuum leak between the MAF sensor & lower intake, an exhaust leak before the pre-cat O2 sensors or a stuck open fuel injector.

Good luck...

I would also pull the codes from the computer, see if there has been any soft codes generated. But I also agree, check gap on plugs and check for fouling, check timing, clean the MAF sensor, check the other O2 sensors, although unlikely the issue check the fuel filter. Do you have any power delivery issues, any backfiring, hard starts, bad idles, dies when its cold, running hot, or anything that indicates a rich fuel/air ratio or timing issue?

When I first got it it needed new wires, and plugs as well as a coil so I replaced all of them and tapped them at 54 I think is that incorrect? The guy said to do that. Whenever its cold I cannot drive it without it dying or trying to die. Replaced my fuel filter not too long ago either. My MAF is clean, also I had my injectors hand cleaned.
