whats wrong w/ it ?? its a matched set.....and the cam on the Summit page is NOT the one im gonna get. the guy at Trickflow's gonna upgrade to a stage 2 cam for me. i dont see whats wrong with it............help me out Quik. i kno we havent been the best of friends on here, but, you seem like you got some technical expertise/experience, so, help me out. and anybody else who wants to. gimme some ideas. but, i honestly dont see anything wrong with the setup

I think what Quik is tryin to say is that the combo is set up for a cam with 221°/225° duration at .050, .499/.510 in
and with the stage 2 cam its going to be upgraded to 224/236 .542/.563 112 then plus the .038 lift the rockers are going to give you is definately going to be over camming your engine. I think the give the stage 1 cam in it for a reason. With cams bigger isnt always better, its what best suits your driving styles, if its a daily driver or just a sunday driver. With the rockers your going to be at about .580/.601 lift, thats really high for a street car. Id wait for his reply tho hes got way more knowledge on it and it was his reply.

stage 1 with 1.72s is good thats what i had
like razaar69 spoke thats alot of lift for a street car. i wouldnt even run that combo for my track setup. thats just alot of lift. plus your pistons better have the clearances allong with strong springs. also thats a small motor for that amount of lift. youll need alot of supporting mods for that amount of lift
