CAR DIED RIGHT WHEN I WAS PULLING INTO MY DRIVEWAY


I went on small trip yesterday 1 hr drive there and 1 hr back. Car ran fine there and back, I got gas and headed back home 5 mins after getting gas car died at the lights just like quit/stalled. I turned it over and it fired right up fine drove another 5 mins and bogging along in 2nd on my street and the rpm gauge started jumping all over bogging and up etc this only happened for afew seconds i was about to pull in my driveway but it seemed fine so stoped at the stop sign and started to go and it died again left it for afew mins and it fired up long enough for me to kept the rpms up to get it back to the driveway.

Anyways i checked the distrubor and tryed to turn it and it came loose base set it by sound of engine and it died again after afew mins.


**Update while writing this I took a break and swapped the distrubor modulor idle still fine and it now stays going even after it warms up doesn't die no more. Drove it with a base timing to friends shop and got the light hooked up to set base 10 degee base timing i belive it was and 34 on full advance while reving up to 3500 etc. seems to be back to normal well what it was before anyways.


Also needs tuning tho still blowing smoke when under load running rich, wanna get it on the dyno and tune it as needed after. fuel pressure maybe too high. before hand gonna change the pvc valve as it's off the stock engine probally from back in 1991 never changed i bet and also o2 sensors as there shot probally factory ones too i swapped them both when upgrading to new engine.
Can anyone tell me what kind of issues they have seen with bad o2 sensors and bad pcv valve.
