Default coolant leak.. need help!

with a pressure test in the coolant system also show if its a gasket leaking or just hoses and such? i have a coolant leak somewhere. i found a small rubber nipple on the passenger side of the engine the closes off a small connector on one of the meatl coolant lines running next to the fuel rails. i know its leaking there because there is small puddling under that area and i started it quick and saw as it heated up it was leaking there but there is also some puddling on the driverside in the area of where the front of the head and the top of wtaer pump. it is lower than the other puddling so it could be just that one leak but i want to definately find out before running the car again. thank you for your help and any input would be greatly appreciated. i meant to say i dont know when it started. i only drove the car a few time this summer and the last time i drove it i let it warm up and got down the road and saw it was getting warm so brought it home and took my normal car to work. that afternoon i checked the coolant level and it was low and im assuming that it why it got hot. bought i havnet driven the car sense only started it to let it run a few times sense it is winter here and the last time i did this i started it and popped the hood and thats when i noticed the puddling and immediately shut it off before the car even warmed up. sorry for the lengthy post

if the leak is external it will show up with a pressure tester, if it's internal to a cyl, you'd have to pull all the plugs and see if coolant fills a cyl, but it sounds as if your leaks are external so yes a pressure tester will find such, best to do it on a cold motor when potential areas are not sealed via expansion due to heat

Guy, Line breaks are your friend.

Infrared dye and a leak tester will be a help.
