Default Cross Member Fitment Issues.

Hey guys, I'm trying to get the transmission cross member back in with the new urethane bushing in it, but I CANNOT line up the holes for the bushings. I've tried pry bars, hitting the cross member with a hammer to bend it inwards, and I'm considering drilling part of the frame (really don't want to though). There has to be a better way. The cross member is too wide and needs to come in about an inch. Any advice?

How far are both holes away? The crossmember can only go in one way. I'm going to guess you have it going backwards.

Wrong....it can go either way.... A stock crossmember is an adjustable member once you grind off the tac welds that hold the bushing tubes and the brace together.

After much anger and turning green a few times. I finally got it in. I'm not sure why it was such a pain to get in, but I got it. Bent a few holes next to the cross member holes, but it's in.

Really? I have found mine only goes in one way due to the humps for the exhaust being offset.
