$120 install on gears is a really good price. Be sure they know what they're doing before you turn your car over to them. That car's a nice find, by the way

Sure thing, I wanted to drive tonight, but too much rain and foggy windows, plus the batter is completely shot, what kind of batter will fit? I'd love to throw a yellow top in, also noticed the steering colom has play up and down, how do you fix that?

Crack a window and use the defroster to un-fog the glass. Sounds to me like the tilt on the steering wheels wore out.

I've never tried it, but I've heard it's time consuming.

that's BS AT IT'S FINEST............I have darn near close to 500 at the rear wheels on my 85 trapping 128+ in the quarter and on a 26 inch tire launching at 5k+ , while it does get out of the hole, when it hooks, for lack of a better word it boggs a tad and has to work back up to it's rpm band, which has killed my 60 fts, I muster mid 1.5's when I should be low 1.4's high 1.3's.........needless to say 4.10's OR MAYBE 4.30'S WILL go in eventually. And guess what, with 3.73's on the highway at 65, rpm's are at barely 2300............I have installed plenty of 3.73 gears as well as 4 .10 's in mustangs for guys who drive them on the street, and the 4.10's are never screaming high rpms on the highway, if you never race at the track 3.73's bare min, for a dual purpose 4.10's IMO, I see to many 5.0's dead hooking on drag radials and slicks that bogg from not enough gear, but then again most of those are stock build motors, so to argue gears you really have to factor in the build of the motor as well as intended use and rpm potential of the combo.

He's a co worker, were both aircraft mechanics, he's built 3 mustangs and has tons of parts I can use. He's only charging me for the gears not the labor.
