Hello,I am hoping to find a answer to my question or if this is a common issue.I have a 93 with factory paint,no accidents and has 98,000 miles,it's really a beautiful car but there are some creases or raised areas in the paint on both sides of the car in the same exact areas "see pic",you can feel as well as see the raises areas,not sure if these areas are where the roof was welded at the factory and not properly finished or if there is rust lurking.I pulled back the interior panel but could not see anything.

I've heard this and I'm sure to be corrected if I'm wrong, that it's body flex from racing. It was told to me by a friend that races his at the track. This is only here-say IMO.

We bought the car 4 years ago from a family member who had it since 1996,I know some of them had visited the track but never recall this car being run,you answer did cross my mind "body flex"

All 3 of my foxbodies had the same thing. My understanding is that it was done at the factory, in the 80's, when being meticulous wasn't such a big deal on these cars. Currently my 88 GT has 69000 miles with factory paint and it has the blemishes in it also. I don't like it either especially after a good wash and polish as it stands out like a sore thumb.

Both of my c-pillars are wavy but the passenger side was hit hard. I think its just flex. Mine is also cracked at the top where the roof rolls off into the hatch channel and at the a-pillar where it was leaded at the factory.

My '84 hatch has been a race car since about 1998 or so, frames tied and rollbar welded to frame ties.
I've made a bunch of runs in the deep 10 second range with 'real' slicks.
I do not have that body crease or any sign of it........

Maybe I need to sell my 88 and get an 84? Nah, just kidding.

I'll look in a couple weeks when the club I belong puts on it annual show, I bet bet there will be 20-30 FOX h/b's besides mine and see how much of a problem this.
