Nah it just came with the filter no connectors so. I will unhook the battery and ethier realase the pressure with the valve as i have used it before to check for fuel pressure or clamp the lines one of the two. just wondering as buddys were telling me before to use that red button under the back trim, i dunno why they do it that way if it's not needed.

Default RE: Fuel Filter To be Changed!

Well Changed the fuel filter and also o2 sensors and all went well but car is still not performing to my liking.
i gotta finish off my exhaust as full exhaust done accept headers which are stock waitting for my buddy to drop off the mac's.

Also i need gears bad, as this engine just not pulling as hard as i thought hell my stock engine pulled just as good if not better then this 306 but could be afew things to be overlooked. Gonna get the headers and also get 3.73 then get it on the dyno and have timing set and fuel pressure looked at etc as right now it's just not pulling hard only a small cherp going into 2nd and doesn't really even burn the tires when dumping it or punching it. (somethings just not right)

I do all the basic things and call my buddy who sold me the engine when i'm having these issues just gonna give things a last chance and get the car tuned and gears/headers ect and then see how things go before i give up as i drove with this same engine in another car with gears etc and afew other things and it pulled very hard i loved it and hence the fact why i bought it , but as of now gear or no gear it's just not right at the time being. mind you i know gears gonna be a big difference but it's just not really pulling all that good right now.

Things done to try to correct issues and things that needed changing anyways are

pcv valve
o2 sensors
cap/rotor
plugs
timing at 10 degrees and 34 with full advance

NEW ENGINE SPECS:
engine is 306
forged pistons
eagle h beam rods i belive
1.6 Comp roller rockers
stud gurdle or whatever
extreme energy comp cam
center force dual fricton clutch
power plus upper and lower
c&l 76mm
24 lbs injectors
cold air intake
roush heads
mac h-pipe with hi flow cats
flowmasters

Things still needing to be changed/added in the next while

stock 2.73/3.08 gears whatever came in the 1991 gt 5.0 to be changed t0 3.73s
stock headers/until my mac's come
elec fan & rad to be added rather then clutch fan
Nos 150 shot
decent tire after this stuff of course

any comments welcome...

well, it should definetly do more than a little chirp in second if u drive right
but you really need a good set of heads, i would get the heads instead of nitrous right now.

That`s funny I just came across this topic. I just changed my filter this weekend. It`s a Fram and did come with the clips. I didn`t know what they were for till I got underneath and seen them. Ohh, the button , I wish I knew about it cause I recieved a little fuel shower, lol! Not that bad and the fuel lines go up so only fuel that leaks is the amount in the filter. Not like the tank is going to drain or nothing. Changed it, hooked it up, and no problems. Easy!

true it should be quite the difference weather it have gear or not. i'll get the gears anyways as there needed and then the header as the same time and get it tuned to max power after the dyno run and have them set everything as needed for max power.

I don't think theres anything wrong with "Roush Heads" hell did the trick for my buddy and it's not like there a cheap head. there maybe better your right but there not crap.
