Default Tranny questions

Hi, I recently bought a 94 gt with a manual transmission, I changed the fluid after what I thought was the transmission slipping, Now when I put the car in gear and release the clutch it doesn't move, doesn't stall, and I have to give it 5,000 rpms before it will move. Any advice on this matter would definitley rock! Also I talked to a few people and they said it was the clutch which would be better than replacing the whole tranny! What do you guys think it is??

sounds like your clutch is slipping to me . Its probly just worn down. There is a way to adjust it at the pedal.

no need to replace the transmission if its just a clutch...and changing fluid isnt gonna stop slippage if a manual trans is slipping youve got gears missing teeth that arent meshing etc
