Default autlolite plugs

hey guys. about 6 months ago i bought a supercharged 95...the car was dyno tuned...and i got the car and noticed there was detonation. just today i changed the plugs....it had autolite 63s....which i have never seen on a mustang EVER...and they were gapped at .60.....i put in autolite 3923's ...gapped at .35...no detonation...

has anyone ever even used the auotlite 63's?

My Dad allways used Autolight in his 68 mustang 302. I use them in my 85 302. they are great plugs .32 is the right gap for the plugs

Are you running cast iron heads or aluminum heads?
For supercharged application you run colder plugs with smaller gap. Colder to reduce detonation, smaller gap to keep boost from blowing out spark.
For my Alum heads I use 3923
For my cast heads I use 23

yeah i have aluminum heads..i kno supercharged goes w/ a colder plug, i always ran 3924's in my other mustangs, so i put 3923's in mine...took away sll the detonation problems and it runs like a new car...i picked up an easy 2 tenths by changin to these plugs....should be down around 11.5 - 11.6 now

but the autolite 63's aren't even a 5/8s plug...they are 13/16ths.....these plugs are way off
