Arrow Rack and Pinion swap

Hey guys, long time!

I'm looking into replacing my rack and pinion in my 86 this season.

I'm converted to five lug using 96+ spindles.

Question is, can I use a later model rack or are there fitting differences between the Fox and SN95+?

Either way, does anybody know which racks over the years have the most swing to get more steering angle?

You need a fox rack. The fluid line locations of 96+ won't work. As far as swing I wouldn't know, but you'll find that stock ones offer "standard" ratio and "sport" ratio, 3.0 and 2.5 turns lock to lock, respectively.

Autozone's web site actually had the lock to lock turn amount. I just hope the remanufactured racks would be as tight as getting a brand new one. The price difference is huge. There's a width difference in the 94-95s but that won't affect the swing.

Thanks!
