I put a big bolt in my tube on the new h, If yours has a bung for it you may be able to go to Home depot or lowes and find a plug for it.

Back to the belt - The new belt is squeaking for a split second, only when the car first starts. Any remedies or does this quit after the belt stretches some?

how much does the tensioner spring back after you let it go... my belt barley fit with the tensioner all the way then it only went back a 1/4 inch or so when released .... Maybe your belt is too long...

I'm using a 90.5" belt. I tried an 89.5 and a 90, i moved the tensioner as far as it would go and still couldnt slip the other belts on.

You may want to check your other ribbed pulleys , I had a belt that burned up one time and deposited a lot of burnt rubber in the valleys of all the ribbed pulleys It was a pain in the *** but I had to use a wedged file to clean out all the burnt on belt. It may be why its squealing a little.

Did you have to open the tensioner up all the way to get your belt on? I didnt have to fight w this one to get it on, but half inch shorter and i couldnt get it over the idler

Ya I had to opent the tensioner all the way up and the belt barely slipped over it. I also deleted the ac as well at the same time. I had a ac delete pully on it and I got rid of that cause of squealing . I suspect you have some rubber burnt into the crank pully from the belt not spinning . The belt cant be to tight as the tension is set by the spring tensioner . Possibly the tensioner is getting old and has lost some spring pressure .
