And yes I was talking about the pick ups on the cap but I found that that is normal from what people tell me but I got on it a few times it had flawless power and then I got on it another time and it has lost power like something is holding back or not enough sparks or not enough fuel or too much air or clogged injecters or something but I must note my buddy put some 87 ethonol fuel in it the day before it lost its power

I've put octane booster in it and ran 91 ever since and I used some seafoam and b12 cleaner changed my plugs checked compression fuel pressure (35-40)lbs at idle no knocks or pinging that I can hear have not cleaned the mass air flow sensor and have not change fuel filter the car does hesitate sometimes when getting on it I cleaned my air filter

Also my timing is advanced not sure to what degree but idles at 1100 Rpms

Try unhooking the battery for awhile to reset the ecm and see what happens.

My car got a lil warmer than normal last night I put 2 qts of water back in it I have no smoke going on an no water leaks and every one of my plugs look like they have had condensation on them you think maybe my lower intake needs tightened down or a gasket replaced?!

The water problem was a different situation but I fixed that but I'm still having problems I'm not getting enough fuel it's running lean the fuel pressure is at 37# idle with vacuum hooked up and with out vacuum the it's at 43# idle but the car is just plain out running sloppy

If somebody with real good familiarities to these cars and these motors could call me and let me explain everything that would be much helpful and alot faster I'm getting real impatient and almost ready to sell the car but I love the car just getting tired of the headache of not knowing how to fix my problem with out spending alot of money I don't have thanks for the help

You mentioned a whistling sound....check for vacuum leaks and make sure your using the correct spark plugs for your heads. Also what heat range plugs are they?
