Tire touching backside of wheel well
Looks like the tire is a bit close to the wheel well and when I bought the car it had a rebuilt title but i dont think it was completely done or done right. What would cause this? Thanks guys

Not sure, just bought it for 1900 with no trans. \i havent even heard it run but my dad has. So if anything i paid 1900 for a motor but still. I was thinking possinbly a bent swing arm or something. How would I be able to find out for sure what the cause is? Just so I can guide him on what to do. I have about 1300 to spend on a T-5 and fix whatever else is wrong with it. Where can I find a tubular K member? If I am going to replace stuff might as well upgrade right?

Im guessing it was involved some kind of front end collision at some point . This could have been the result of running over a curb as well or and hard jolt to the front end. Most of the time the k member bends where the control arms connect to it, however being that the car came with no trans, I would try to find out why the trans was removed, If the k member was shoved back it could have caused the engine to shift cockeyed in a violent enough manner to bind up the drive train and damage the trans. If the k member was replaced after a collision it may not be aligned correctly , there is a lot of measuring that goes into getting the k member in the car so that every thing is square. It cant just be bolted up and ready to roll .
To check if the k member is square you need a tape measure and a couple plumb bobs . Maximum Motorsports has a pretty good right up of how to square up the front k member , they are actually showing the install of one of there aftermarket k members but you can get a pretty good Idea of how alignment of the k member is accomplished ....
