The pinion shaft on my rearend worked its way loose and got damaged. Is there somewhere to buy one or is this a salvage yard piece?

You will need to replace both the ring and pinion gears.

explain damaged please. And did the big nut that holds the pinion in the housing come loose? I fear your gonna need more than just the pinion shaft.

I got another limited slip unit, ring and pinion (3.73), and axles, but no pinion shaft. Was trying to figure out where I can get shaft and shaft lock bolt. Thanks for everyones reply.

Could of been worse if the pin would of came all the way out though.

That locking bolt must have had a defect in it or something cause they are hardened and I cant imagine putting enough force on one to shear it in two. Unless it didn't have any thread lock on it and it loosened up enough to hit .
