New Headers removes o2 Sensors..? Can I just remove them?
Hi Guys, Just installed Summit Racing Long-Tube Headers in my 92 Vert and on the on the old pipes that I had to remove the 2 o2 sensors (i think) were screwed into the Catalytic converter. I removed the cats so now I a header with NO hole to screw the o2 Sensors into. I haven't tried running the car since the wires are now exposed. Can I delete these somehow or do I have to cut the header to install them?
thx everyone

Yes, you need to keep the O2 sensors. You'll have to weld in bungs for sensors. Not as bad as it sounds, I did mine for a wideband and it took me 20 min.
I'm assuming your car is still fuel injected.

Asking if you can "just get rid" of O2 sensors is like asking if you can get rid of the fuel injectors. Without O2s how is the ECU supposed to know what the actual air/fuel ratio is so it can make the proper adjustments?
