New Rack and Pinion, Need toe set Help
So I put in a new rack and pinion this morning and set the thread count on the outers to where it was before and the toe is out ridiculously far, I know it's supposed to be between -.5 to .5 degrees, could anyone with a newer rack and proper alignment hop under their car and give me a thread count to get me close enough to make it to an alignment rack (40 miles away). Thanks in advance.
P.s. I know it won't be perfect, every car is different.

Measure across the tires, in the front of the tire and in the back of the tire, as high as possible with the weight of the car on the ground, to the same row in the tire tread pattern. You want 1/16" toe in (the front of tire measurement should be less than the rear of tire measurement), so measure and adjust until you get there. You will have to move the car backwards and forwards a few car lengths after every adjustment to let everything settle before you measure it again. You'll get there after 3-4 adjustments. Measuring someone else's car is not going to be right for your car.
